Episode 26 – Hate for the Zany

Posted on January 31st, 2008 in Podcast Episodes by chris

Another episode of The Blueprint Podcast, the premier amusing banter outlet from the North of England, and we’ve got a lot to talk about. Greg goes postal on the subject of Julia Roberts and Richard Gere film Pretty Woman, and both of us discuss alternative careers for the movie prostitute.

We have some terrific music from Antiqcool, who you can find out more about at www.antiqcool.co.uk, and we deride the antics of people who reckon that they are zany, like Su Pollard, Timmy Mallett and a bloke who is a serial name-changer.

A good, meaty episode, but the meat is all free range.

Here’s the cover of Antiqcool’s album Digging For Gold. Check them out, you’ll like them.

Episode 25 – Waiter! There’s A Crazy Frog In My Soup!

In Episode 25, we explore the uniquely bizarre relationship between a woman and her psychic, chick eating, seaside loving, motorcycling pet frog, as well as the alarming frequency with which ex-mice are appearing in the gastronomical world. We also investigate the future of musical street combat as well as a light hearted look at those tired old hot potatoes; gun legislation and why it’s best to have your alibi sorted in advance when trying to steal from a deceased work colleague on a revolving chair.

As ever, the Blueprint Express is in town to try and make sense of it all amid much irrelevant chat, thoughtful debate and childish squabbling.

Episode 24 – The Road to Rendition

In this episode, we are not only brimming with witty banter, but The Blueprint Podcast has something of an exclusive about the John Darwin canoe affair. It seems that the Panama estate agent from whom the Darwins planned to buy a home is keen to make some opportunist cash from the story, to the extent where he wants to sell emails from the Darwins. On the ball as ever, The Blueprint investigated and found out how important evidence is for sale to the media.

Aside from that ugly business, we discuss how Tom Hanks could have forged a career out of turkeys, and how a couple of recent stupid criminals came unstuck in Europe. What’s more, Chris and Greg talk about sex with robots and waterboarding. But not at the same time.

Once again we’d like to wish you a stupendous 2008, and we hope you’ll stay tuned to The Blueprint, whoever you may be.

This episode’s picture is of a robot, just to show how unlikely it is that we’ll ever fancy them. Sorry, robots.

Do you fancy robots?

Happy New Year and suchlike

Happy 2008 Blueprinters, or Blueprintettes, or whatever Blueprint fans would be called if we were a media sensation, and indeed if people who listen to a podcast could be described as fanatical.

Both Greg and I had a great Christmas, and of course we hope you have, too. Among other things, we’ve been to see music, played music on our guitars, given and received gifts to all and sundry, and I have discovered that I know how to mend the speaker on my mobile phone using some tiny screwdrivers. All in all, then, a successful yuletide season.

We’ll be back in audio form very soon with a brand new episode of The Blueprint Podcast, so please do keep checking for updates.
